Qualifications

• Must be certified by the KBEMS as an EMS instructor.
• Must have completed an approved EMS instructor course.
• Must have a minimum of two years of experience as a practicing paramedic.
• Must hold a current and valid paramedic certification.
• Must have experience in teaching or training in EMS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction in EMS courses aligned with curriculum and industry standards.
• Deliver lectures and hands-on training.
• Demonstrate proper techniques for emergency medical procedures including patient assessment, airway management, and trauma care.
• Facilitate classroom discussions and interactive learning experiences.
• Assess student progress through exams, practical evaluations, and assignments.
• Ensure compliance with state and national EMS education guidelines.
• Maintain a positive and professional learning environment.
