Job summary

Achieving True Self is seeking an Employment Specialist to provide job-readiness and vocational coaching for adults and transition-age students with autism and other disabilities in Allegheny County, PA. The role involves supporting clients to obtain competitive, integrated employment and coordinating with employers and care teams.

You will use program resources, document outcomes, and adapt coaching to individual needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's in Psychology, Social Work, OT, Special Education or related field preferred.
• Minimum 18 years old with 2–3 years experience with neurodiverse individuals preferred.
• Valid PA driver’s license with proof of insurance and current vehicle registration.
• ACRE certification required within 6 months of employment.
• Clearances (FBI, PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal History) required; CPR certification on hire or provided.

Responsibilities

• Build therapeutic rapport with clients and support job readiness and employment objectives.
• Coach clients in workplace skills, communication, and task execution across settings.
• Complete program documentation: progress reports, work plans, and related records.
• Transport clients to interviews and work sites as needed; coordinate with employers and supports.
