Job summary

Integrated Resource Institute is seeking an Employment Coach in Whittier, CA to mentor individuals with developmental disabilities, support job development, and facilitate placements at East Los Angeles sites. The role emphasizes person-centered planning, community integration, and flexible scheduling to align with participant goals.

The position offers a part-time schedule with up to 12 hours per week, mileage reimbursement, cell phone reimbursement, and bonus incentives for successful job

Qualifications

• Two years of college preferred but not required.
• Job development and on-the-job support experience preferred but not required.
• Experience supporting people with disabilities preferably in community integrated settings.
• Strong organization, communication and writing skills; proficient with computers and online platforms.
• Positive behavior support training experience preferred.
• Commitment to full inclusion of all persons with disabilities.
• Commitment to integrated employment for all persons with disabilities.
• Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Understands and practices IRI’s mission and embraces person-centered values.
• Demonstrates respectful interaction with IRI persons served and stakeholders.
• Assists with development of individualized support plans and employment goals.
• Develops integrated work schedules and identifies placement opportunities.
• Contacts prospective employers and facilitates job applications for participants.
• Shadow and train other coaches as needed.
• Completes required documentation and attends trainings.
