Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Ohio seeks an Emergency Department/Urgent Care team member to assist with evaluation and care of patients with trauma and orthopedic injuries under supervision. You will work with nurses and practitioners to assess needs and provide wound and cast care, documenting thoroughly.

The role requires EMT-Basic, EMT-Paramedic, CMA or RMA certification and current BLS‑CPR, plus strong communication skills. Shifts are 11a–3a, 16–32 hrs/week across multiple campuses.

Qualifications

• EMT-Basic, EMT-Paramedic, CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) required.
• Current BLS‑CPR Certification, required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in evaluation and care of patients with trauma and orthopedic injuries under supervision.
• Collaborates with practitioners to determine patient care needs and facilitates referrals.
• Documents patient care according to hospital standards and policies.
• Supports education of residents and medical students in suturing and wound care within the emergency setting.
