Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Chester, VA. You will provide security at a technology, media, and telecommunications site with fixed shifts and an option to pick up extra shifts through our platform.

This role offers flexible scheduling, opportunity to grow into full-time roles, and paid training. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred; candidates must meet age, education, and background requirements and may be eligible for benefits and perks.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with credential verification, visitor direction, and reporting access-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, communicating relevant security-related observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
