Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 core college credits or passing Praxis score of 457.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiar with the special needs of English Learners (EL).
• Ability to work and communicate with staff, students, and the public.
• Experience with tutoring or working with children in school settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administers WIDA Screener and ACCESS for ELs tests.
• Collaborates with classroom teacher and administrator to determine instructional needs.
• Provides services according to individual EL student needs.
• Maintains required student files per federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Monitors EL student progress and maintains a tracking sheet.
