Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilitation or equivalent training with elementary youth.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in related work or theatre arts field.
• Knowledge of youth development, after school and public education.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate purposeful, engaging workshops and activities reflecting SEL and CRSE.
• Prepare and facilitate theatre-based activities sessions.
• Actively recruit and retain club student participants.
• Support growth and training of club student leaders.
• Supervise activities to ensure health, safety and wellbeing of participants.
• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans supporting social-emotional learning.
• Build positive relationships with youth and adults and model appropriate demeanor.
• Ensure proper care of spaces, equipment and materials and report issues.
• Submit program reports on supply requests, session guides and attendance.
• Participate in trainings, meetings and events.
• Monitor students during field trips per SAYA policies.
• Collaborate with SAYA team for school events and initiatives.
