Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a compassionate School Social Worker to support an elementary school in Illinois for the 2025–2026 school year. This part-time role focuses on addressing students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs within a collaborative school team.

You will provide individual and small-group interventions, conduct social-emotional assessments, and contribute to IEP planning. You will also document progress, coordinate with families, and connect families with community resources.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work endorsement.
• Completed a 600-hour supervised internship in a school setting.
• Passed the Illinois Licensure Testing System (ILTS) exam for School Social Workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group social-emotional interventions.
• Identify and address factors affecting learning and behavior.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and school leadership.
• Develop and support behavior plans and contribute to IEP development.
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student progress.
• Connect families with community resources and external services.
