Job summary

Williamson Central School District is seeking a probationary monitor for the Elementary School, 9:30am – 3:30pm, starting 1.4.27. The role involves supervising students in the cafeteria, playgrounds, hallways, foyer or classrooms to maintain a safe and orderly environment.

You will work with the building principal and teachers to model expected behavior, assist in attendance duties, and perform other duties as assigned. All civil service requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Interest in working with students.
• Ability to supervise and manage students in various situations.
• Ability to write and keep accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise students in the cafeteria, playgrounds, hallways, foyer or classrooms.
• Maintain a constructive learning environment in classroom/study hall/detention settings.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment during playground, lunch, study halls and hallways.
• Enforce rules for playground, cafeteria and study hall behavior.
• Work cooperatively with the Building Principal and teachers.
• Safely supervise students during daily playground, lunch periods and study halls.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the principal or teachers.
• Assist in Attendance Duties.

Job description

A probationary monitor positionin the ElementarySchool. 9:30am - 3:30pm. Start 1.4.27.

1. Monitorsand supervises students in a variety of settings including but not limited to the cafeteria, playgrounds, hallways, foyer or classrooms.
2. Maintains a constructive learning environment when working in the classroom/study hall/detention room settings.
3. Maintains a safe and orderly environment for our students while on the playgrounds, in the cafeteria, study halls and hallways.
4. Follows and enforces the rules set forth for playground behavior, proper use of playground equipment, dinning in the cafeteria, study halls, detention centers, etc.
5. Works cooperatively with the Building Principal and teachers to be aware of expectations for student’s behavior.
6. Safely supervise students during their daily playground, lunch periods and study halls.
7. Carries out any other duties as assigned by the building principal and/or responsibilities, which may be deemed appropriate by the classroom teachers.
