Job summary

Snohomish School District is seeking a Paraeducator A to support general elementary and LAP programs at Emerson Elementary. Under supervision, you will assist classroom teachers and contribute to student success.

Work schedule runs Monday–Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a 9-month calendar and paid holidays. Salary ranges from $27.38 to $31.13 per hour, with benefits eligibility for qualifying positions.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent and meet one of the following requirements.
• Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university; or
• Passed a paraeducator assessment as listed (Para Pro, Para Pathways, Pearson, or Master Teacher program).

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support under the direction of the Building Administrator and teacher.
• Assist with recess and/or lunch supervision as applicable.
• Support elementary education as described in the attached job description.
