Job summary

AoPS Academy is seeking a part-time Elementary Instructor for its Santa Clara campus to lead after-school classes in math and language arts. You will use company-designed curricula for small groups, engaging students in collaborative, student-led learning and building strong classroom communities.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, demonstrates strong content knowledge, and has prior K-5 teaching or tutoring experience. A credential is not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Education, or humanities (or equivalent) is required.
• Strong content knowledge in math, reading, writing, and grammar.
• K-5 classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students.

Responsibilities

• Teach Engaging Curriculum using company materials for elementary math and language arts.
• Engage Students through student-led learning.
• Classroom Management of up to 16 students.
• Grade and provide feedback on tests and assignments.
• Build relationships with students and families.
• Inspire learning and critical thinking in elementary math and language arts.
