Job summary

Bates Elementary seeks a part-time Elementary Aide to support teachers and students across reading, math, and classroom activities. This role emphasizes supervision during lunch/recess, instructional assistance, and data collection to monitor progress.

Under the direction of the principal and teachers, you will help prepare materials, support instruction, and maintain a positive, safe learning environment. Flexible potential for event support may arise.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting elementary students in reading and math interventions.
• Ability to supervise lunch/recess and assist classroom activities.
• Strong collaboration with teachers to support instruction and student progress.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the instruction of students and other classroom activities as needed.
• May tutor students individually or in small groups under the direction of the teacher.
• Assists with physical and emotional maintenance of students with disabilities including assessing curriculum and participating in school or classroom activities.
• Assist students needing supplemental help with various school subjects and programs.
• Assist in the administration of a variety of tests and monitor students’ academic progress.
• Keeps accurate data on assigned students or groups of students.
• Supports a school environment that helps students develop and maintain a positive self-concept.
