Job summary

Bates Elementary in Ogden, Utah is seeking a part-time Elementary Aide to support teachers with Reading Intervention, Lunchroom and Recess supervision, Behavior Intervention, and Math Intervention.

This 180-day, 5.75-hour-per-day position is non-exempt and not benefit-eligible. Under the principal and teachers, you’ll assist with instructional materials, supervise students, collect data, and help implement IEP or BIP plans as needed. The posting notes funding-contingent continuity.

Qualifications

• Assists in the preparation of instructional materials.
• Assists in the instruction of students and classroom activities as needed.
• May tutor students individually or in small groups under the direction of the teacher.
• Assists with physical and emotional maintenance of students with disabilities including assessing curriculum and participating in school or classroom activities.
• Assist students needing supplemental help with various school subjects and programs.
• Assist in the administration of tests and monitor students’ academic progress.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of the principal and teachers, assists in instruction and supervision of students.
• Maintains accurate data on assigned students or groups of students.
• Supports a positive and focused learning environment through classroom behavior management.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding student information.
