Job summary

Northampton Community College seeks an adjunct instructor to teach Electromechanical Instrumentation in credit courses, working with the Director of Advanced and Industrial Technology and other college staff to deliver lab-based instruction.

The position is part-time and may be taught on campus or online as needed, with opportunities at Bethlehem, PA or Monroe campus in Tannersville, PA, and the responsibility to prepare labs and maintain safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of industry experience required.
• Teaching or training experience preferred.
• Some formal education or training strongly desired.
• College teaching experience preferred.

• Coordinate with the department to schedule classes and labs; may include campus locations in Bethlehem, PA or Monroe campus in Tannersville, PA, and/or online offerings.

Overview

Adjunct faculty teaching position in Electromechanical Instrumentation. Part-time, credit courses taught in collaboration with the Director of Advanced and Industrial Technology, College staff, and adjunct faculty to instruct Electromechanical and Instrumentation Process Control technologies on or off-campus as needed.

Special Instructions

The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department and the College. There may not presently be an adjunct position available at the time of application. If an opening becomes available, the hiring manager will review the pool of candidates for consideration. If hired, official transcripts will be required from all undergraduate and graduate universities attended before a contract is issued.
