Job summary

Certus is seeking part-time Electrical and HVAC instructors to teach 2–25 students in classroom and hands-on settings, traveling as needed. Instructors should have a strong electrical/mechanical background and field experience in commercial, residential, or production environments, with proficient use of MS Office and Zoom for virtual training.

Candidates must possess 10 years of Industrial Maintenance/Skilled Trades experience, outstanding presentation skills, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Field experience as Industrial Maintenance Technician or Skilled Trades Training: 10 years.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Customer service mindset with ability and passion to share knowledge.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to manage training support equipment up to 90 pounds.
• An associate degree or higher or a license/certification for the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Instruct 2–25 students in classroom settings with hands-on and lecture.
• Travel to client sites as required.
• Utilize MS Office applications for course materials and administration.
• Experience with Zoom for virtual training is a plus.
