Penn State Beaver is seeking a part-time instructor to teach EET 114, Electrical Circuits II, and EET 118 for the spring 2027 semester. The role includes delivering lectures and labs, developing and supervising experiments, and guiding students through circuit analysis concepts.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and bring demonstrated teaching experience to support student success in electronics and electromechanical technology

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Beaver is accepting applications for a part-time instructor to teach EET 114, Electrical Circuits II, and its corresponding laboratory course, EET 118, during the spring 2027 semester. This course and corresponding lab introduce students to direct and alternating current circuit analysis, including Thevenin's and Norton's theorems, mesh-current analysis, and nodal analysis. Additional topics include capacitance, inductance, magnetic circuits, resonance, power, polyphase circuits, sinusoidal excitation, and AC reactance. The laboratory component reinforces these concepts through practical circuit construction, measurement, testing, and analysis. Together, EET 114 and EET 118 provide students with the circuit-analysis foundation needed for subsequent coursework in electronics, electrical machinery, and electromechanical engineering technology.
