Job summary

Newport Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster County is seeking a Part-Time Activities Assistant to promote resident engagement through exercises, games, trivia, and art. You will assist the elderly residents with group and individual activities with care and enthusiasm.

This role requires a flexible schedule, the ability to lift and transfer residents, and a professional, positive demeanor. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience with geriatric population preferred, but training will be provided.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting and transferring residents.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group and individual activities to promote resident engagement.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities aligned with their interests and abilities.
• Work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team.
• Escort residents on outings as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of participation and activity planning.
