Newport Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster County, PA is seeking a Part-Time Activities Assistant to join our healthcare team. You will plan and facilitate activities such as exercise, trivia, games, and art to enhance residents' quality of life.

The ideal candidate has a passion for working with the elderly, a positive attitude, and the ability to work flexible hours, including outings. We offer a dynamic environment, opportunities for growth, and competitive pay (TBD).

Qualifications

• Experience with geriatric population preferred, but training available.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting and transferring residents.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Newport Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a 139-bed facility located in the heart of Lancaster County, is seeking a Part-Time Activities Assistant to join our team of Healthcare Heroes! As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in facilitating group and individual activities, such as exercise, trivia, games, and art, to enhance the lives of our elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group and individual activities, including exercise, trivia, games, and art, to promote resident engagement and well-being

• Encourage and assist residents to participate in activities that align with their interests and abilities

• Work independently with limited supervision at times and effectively as a team member

• Escort residents on outings as needed

• Demonstrate professionalism and respect towards residents, considering their specific clinical level of function

• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity planning
