Qualifications

• Knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Ability to maintain an optimal learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Demonstrates flexibility in meeting student needs.

Responsibilities

• Remains current with subject matter, teaching methods, tech, and research.
• Uses varied instructional techniques to motivate students and meet needs.
• Develops and adapts lesson plans to individual student needs.
• Maintains classroom order and enforces school rules.
• Guides learning toward NJCCCS goals and sets objectives.
• Collaborates to address learning difficulties.
• Communicates with parents about student progress.
• Attends meetings and participates in staff committees.
• Plans and attends IEP meetings as needed.
• Assists in selecting textbooks and instructional materials.
• Supports school events and professional development.
