Job summary

Pace Center for Girls in Pensacola, FL is seeking a dedicated substitute teacher to support our year-round program that centers girls’ education and social services. The role emphasizes creating a safe, trauma-informed classroom and delivering instruction in a collaborative setting.

The substitute will work with Classroom Teachers, adapt lessons to state standards, monitor progress, and help students build confidence and resilience within a nurturing, girl-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher as required by the district.
• Ability to educate girls in a trauma-informed, strength-based framework.
• Willingness to complete required trainings and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and deliver instructional guidance provided by the Classroom Teacher.
• Align instruction to state standards and monitor student progress.
• Use formal and informal assessments to plan instruction.
• Create a safe, gender-responsive classroom that supports learning.
• Support equitable opportunities and celebrate diversity among students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
