Pace Center for Girls is seeking a substitute teacher to support our year‑round program that educates girls through a trauma‑informed, strength‑based framework. You will back the Classroom Teacher, deliver prepared lessons, and help maintain a safe, inviting learning space.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or meets the education level of the district’s requirements.
• Attains and/or maintains certification and endorsements by required deadlines.
• Valid Florida ID or Florida Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of laws relating to children and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructions and lessons when the Classroom Teacher is absent.
• Design instruction aligned to state standards and monitor progress.
• Use assessments to plan instruction meeting girls’ individual needs.
• Create a safe, trauma-informed, gender-responsive classroom environment.
• Maintain behavior standards to support a positive learning atmosphere.
• Support growth and readiness for college and life opportunities.
