Job summary

Right At School in Odessa is seeking a Part-Time After School Educator to deliver our curriculum and support students Monday through Friday after school. You’ll help with homework, lead activities, and maintain a safe, engaging environment in the Odessa ISD area.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills.
• High School Diploma/GED and 18 years of age or older.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 40lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements; CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.
• Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements; FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter, Cleared TB

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain safety and wellbeing of all children while supporting homework completion and guiding children at play.
• Excellent communication with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.

Pay Ranges:

$16 - $18 per hour

Schedule/Hours:

Monday- Friday, 2:30-6:00 pm and any early release days 1:00 pm-6:00 pm (may vary slightly)

Odessa ISD area

You’ll drive the mission by:
