Job summary

Right At School is hiring an educator to inspire a love of learning and support school communities in Redondo Beach, CA. The role runs roughly 11am–5:30pm, Monday through Friday, with pay ranging from $20 to $23 per hour.

You will organize materials, deliver engaging lessons, model positive guidance, assist with homework, and communicate with families and staff to ensure a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Experience working with children under 13 years of age is a PLUS.
• College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or a related field are preferred, not required.
• Ability to lift 40lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan, Mandated Reporter, Health Certificate/TB, CPR/FA.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance and incidents.
• Deliver the dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building.
• Model positive guidance and safe classroom management to ensure safety, well-being, and homework support.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and school personnel.
• Participate in regular meetings with the Program Manager for progress and accountability.

Pay Range: between $20-$23/hour

Schedule:Approx. 11am-5:30pm Monday-Friday (Dependent on location)

You’ll drive the mission by:

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents and other observation
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way
• Using your coursework training and our in-person training, model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play
• Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children
• Meets regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability
