Job summary

Medford School District 549C is seeking an Educational Support Staff member for Jacksonville Elementary. This 3.75 hours per day position begins in the 2026-27 school year, under the supervision of the Principal. The role assists teachers and supervises students while supporting literacy and math interventions.

Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, maintaining student records, and providing clerical support to promote student learning and district goals.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent; No Child Left Behind requirements.
• Fluent in English; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Ability to interact with teachers, staff, community members, and students; maintains confidentiality.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in the instructional setting.
• Support literacy and math interventions in small groups.
• Prepare instructional materials and organize student work under teacher direction.
• Deliver planned activities for individual and small groups.
• Read to students in one-on-one or small group settings.
