Job summary

Central Point School District 6 is seeking an Educational Assistant II for Scenic Middle School. The role is part-time (5 hours per day) with 184-day calendar. Responsibilities include supporting teachers, supervising groups, and assisting with assessments and records.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with either an Associate degree, two years of post-high school, or a district assessment showing reading, writing and math skills. Benefits and longevity pay provided.

Qualifications

• Must have one of the following: an Associates degree from an accredited institution, evidence of completion of two years of post-high school study, or a passing score on the District's assessment of reading, writing and math skills.
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assists in implementing classroom learning exercises planned by the Teacher.
• Oversees group activity in the classroom, including supervision of the whole class for short periods of time.
• Assists small groups or individuals with skill reinforcement or lesson assignments.
• Presents teacher-designed subject matter to students through methods including lecture, discussion and supervised individual and group development.
• Coordinates daily activities and instruction as directed.
• Assists in proctoring student assessments and maintenance of student records including attendance and progress.
• Confers with teaching staff or parents about student progress.
• Assists in ordering, preparing and administering instructional materials.
• Assists in preparing for IEP meetings and tracking IEP data.
• Accompanies students on school bus routes and provides general supervision.
