Job summary
Medina County Career Center High School in Medina, Ohio invites applications for an Educational Aide/Paraprofessional (ESC). The successful candidate will assist the instructor, help monitor student progress, keep records, and support classroom safety and organization.
Starting date is TBD with a part-time schedule. Salary ranges from $17.75 to $20.59 per hour, with benefits including one personal day and sick days.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid OhioAide credential, or the ability to obtain one.
- Ability to assist with class activities and reinforce lessons.
- Experience with high school students in a career-technical environment.
- First Aid/CPR/AED and OSHA certifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the instructor in developing and teaching program curriculum.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and maintain records.
- Help implement IEPs and behavior strategies under supervision.
- Supervise students in classroom and non-instructional settings.
- Help prepare learning materials and assist with grading tasks.
- Maintain safety, order, and effective communication with students, staff, and families.
