Job summary

College of Lake County is seeking an Adjunct Faculty, Education to teach courses in Education. The role includes developing instructional materials, syllabi, objectives and evaluation tools.

The college emphasizes innovative instruction and life-changing learning paths for students at its Grayslake, Waukegan, Vernon Hills campuses or online. The position is part-time with a total of 5 hours per week, requiring engagement in required adjunct meetings, course governance, and timely grade

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Education.
• 3–5 years of college-level teaching experience; public-school teaching experience.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Competency in technologies used in college instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Education.
• Develop instructional materials and syllabi.
• Assess student learning and assign grades.
• Attend adjunct meetings in Fall and Spring semesters.
• Participate in college governance and academic life.
• Maintain current knowledge and comply with training (e.g., Title IX).
• Prepare and maintain curriculum, outlines, and instructional materials.
• Deliver course content with varied teaching styles and meet deadlines.
• Provide student support and reference to college services.
