Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Technician to assist with basic patient care under RN supervision and maintain a ready patient care environment.

Qualifications include EMT or CNA certification and BLS, with a preference for 1 year of acute care experience. This role offers full benefits and a supportive team in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current EMT or CNA Certification.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Prefer one year experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive care to the Emergency Dept patients under the direct supervision of the registered nurse or physician.
• Takes, documents, and reports vital signs. Reports abnormal results immediately to the registered nurse.
• Transports patients, as necessary to other departments and inpatient units.
• Assists with moving, ambulating and lifting patients.
