Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, seeks an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a full-time role with comprehensive benefits. The position requires 2 years of ED experience, current RN license, and certifications (ACLS, PALS, BCLS) with training within specified timelines.

You will coordinate care, communicate with ED physicians, and respond quickly to changing patient conditions.

Qualifications

• 2 years ED experience required.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes and adjusts nursing care to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments across age groups and reassesses per policy.
• Assesses and manages pain, educating patients and families on pain management.
• Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care and prioritizes patients.
