Position Description

Limited-Term Instructors are full-time faculty hired on a semester‑to‑semester basis. The position is renewable for a maximum of three semesters and is dependent on enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 18 semester hours of instruction per semester.
• Provide student support and advising.
• Maintain an average of 10 office hours per week.
• Work effectively and professionally with colleagues.
• Teach a mix of in‑person and online classes.

Required Experience

A minimum of a master’s degree required in the teaching discipline, or a minimum of a master’s degree with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter graduate hours in relevant coursework (completed by the anticipated date of appointment).

Preferred Qualifications

Prior teaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to teach Economics at the collegiate level.
• Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods, relative to students and facilitate student learning.
• Effective communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and teaching skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology and ability to teach online.

Work Hours

Compensation

10-month salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
