Job summary

The City of North Las Vegas is seeking an Economic Development Intern to support updating business databases and economic indicators. You will help create outreach emails, reports, and presentations and participate in surveys and networking with local businesses.

The ideal candidate is enrolled in a related degree, possesses strong communication skills, and can manage multiple priorities with attention to detail. Fluency in Spanish is desired; part-time position with up to 25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a related degree program (Business, Finance, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field).
• Enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate) or 3 credit hours (graduate).
• Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• A valid Nevada driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain and update business databases and economic indicators.
• Support development of marketing and communication materials such as outreach emails, reports, and presentations.
• Participate in outreach to local businesses and stakeholders through surveys, interviews, or networking events.
• Enter data and work across multiple software platforms to accomplish tasks.
