Job summary

Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington is seeking a part-time Teacher Assistant to support EC students in general education and pull-out settings. The role reports to the EC Coordinator and focuses on reinforcing learning, assisting with IEP-related strategies, and maintaining student progress records.

The position offers 8:00am–2:00pm hours, up to 29 hours weekly, with a start date of August 11, 2026, at a rate of $16.07 per hour. Candidates must complete TB testing as required for employment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting EC students in general education or pull-out settings.
• Ability to help implement teacher strategies and monitor progress on goals.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct with students and families.

Responsibilities

• Work with EC students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist teachers in devising strategies and monitoring progress toward IEP goals.
• Monitor safety and well-being of students and encourage self-esteem.
• Perform clerical duties, maintain records, and develop instructional materials.
• Maintain ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information.
• Pursue professional development to support EC programs.
• Perform related duties as requested by teacher or EC Coordinator.
