Job summary

The Weston Public Schools are seeking an Early Literacy Interventionist at Woodland Elementary School in Weston, Massachusetts. This part-time role (25 hours per week when school is in session) reports to the Building Principal and focuses on targeted literacy interventions for kindergarten and first grade.

We seek a diverse pool inspired by our mission to educate and equip all students to reach their full potential and enrich the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Teaching experience in public schools preferred.
• Experience with literacy interventions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted literacy interventions to small groups of kindergarten and first grade students.
• Complete all required documentation and data collection.
• Collaborate with teachers and curriculum specialists to identify students' needs and set/monitor learning targets.
• Assist teachers in devising strategies based on individual student needs.
