Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One or more years of experience working with children ages five years and younger.
• Current state approved first-aid certification.
• Current state approved infant/child CPR certification.
• Completion of minimum STARS required training.
• Willingness to engage with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers and lead teachers in providing nurturing care.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate classroom activities.
• Maintain rosters and assist with sign-in/out for children.
• Follow daily schedule and communicate with parents via reports.
• Help serve meals and snacks and maintain a clean, orderly space.
• Ensure safety and compliance with DHS licensing and YMCA policies.
• Attend staff meetings and support program leadership and goals.
