Job summary

Lifesteps, Inc. in Beaver, PA is seeking a part-time Child Services Assistant to schedule, administer, score and interpret developmental screenings for children birth to 5 years old.

This role includes sharing screening results with parents in a supportive, non-threatening manner and guiding families to developmentally appropriate activities and child development information. Work hours are Wednesday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; no weekends, evenings, or holidays.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required in related field.
• High School Diploma with a CDA Certificate acceptable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Current driver's license and ability to travel for business with personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, administer, score and interpret developmental screenings for birth to 5 years.
• Share screening results with parents in a professional, non-threatening manner.
• Provide parents with information on developmentally appropriate activities and child development.

Education

Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Family Studies, Psychology or a related Human Service field

High School Diploma with a CDA Certificate
