Job summary

Lifesteps, Inc. in Beaver, PA is hiring two part-time Early Intervention Screeners to assess and evaluate children from birth to age five. The role involves scheduling, administering, scoring, and interpreting developmental screenings in a supportive, child-friendly setting.

You will share results with parents professionally and offer developmentally appropriate activities and resources. Work is Wednesday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with no weekends or evenings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a related field or CDA with HS diploma
• Or a High School Diploma with a CDA Certificate
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Current driver’s license and the ability to travel for business with personal vehicle

Responsibilities

• Share screening results with parents in a professional, non-threatening manner.

Position Summary:

The Early Intervention Developmental Screener is responsible for scheduling, administering, scoring and interpreting developmental screenings for children ages birth to 5 years old.

This position is also responsible for sharing the results of the screening to the parents in a professional, non-threatening manner and providing parents with information on developmentally appropriate activities and child development.

Part-time positions work out of the Beaver Office from Wednesday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. No Weekends, No Evenings. No Holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Family Studies, Psychology or a related Human Service field
• OR -- High School Diploma with a CDA Certificate
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Current driver’s license and the ability to travel for business with personal vehicle

Preferred:

• Experience with Children, such as: Child Development Assessment experience, prior work as a Teacher Aide, childcare staff, daycare employee, AGS, etc
