Job summary

Lifesteps, Inc. is hiring a Full-Time Child Care Staff to work in Beaver, PA. The role focuses on supervising and caring for children aged 3–5, assisting with lesson plans, and communicating daily activities to parents.

The position runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm, with responsibilities including keeping the room and materials organized and participating in Keystone Stars quality initiatives. The successful candidate will meet state clearances and have strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience caring for children.
• Ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds.
• Clearances: PA Criminal clearance, PA Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI background check.
• Able to multi-task and work in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to complete basic computer tasks.
• Strong communications skills (verbal and written).
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, Psychology, Criminology, Speech Pathology, Music Therapy, CDA or related major (preferred).
• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or related Human Services field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Care and supervision of children aged 3 to 5 years.
• Assist with lesson planning and create fun activities.
• Inform parents about the child's day.
• Clean and organize the room, toys, and equipment.
• Participate in quality initiatives such as Keystone Stars for enhanced programming.
