Job summary

Northwest Tri-county Intermediate Unit 5 is seeking an Early Intervention Teacher's Aide (Part-Time) for the Warren County Career Center, Center Based Classroom.

The role supports instructional staff with supervision and care, paid at $21.50/hour (Aide I) or $21.66/hour (Aide II). Current hours are Tuesday–Friday 8:45am–3:15pm, 10–29.5 hours per week, starting in the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform required physical tasks including lifting up to 65 pounds unassisted and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
• Must complete and maintain certifications in first aid, CPR, and Handle With Care Behavior Management Systems (HWC) or crisis prevention intervention (CPI).
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and possess required clearances (Act 114, Act 151, Act 34).
• Special training/experience required for aide/interpreters and Braille readers/writers.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional staff with activities related to the delivery of instruction, supervision, and physical care of students.
• Perform clerical, record keeping, and instructional support duties as required by the teacher or support professional.
• Carry out instructional, technical, behavioral, or therapeutic activities as prescribed and supervised by the teacher or support professional.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or support professional and approved by the Program Supervisor.
