Job summary

School of Rock Cherry Hill is seeking a part-time Music Instructor for early childhood classes ages 4-7. You will lead engaging activities across core areas, plan lessons, and support a warm learning environment.

The role emphasizes interaction with parents, shows participation, and potential involvement in student enrollment. Prior music instruction experience and a passion for young learners are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years teaching and/or performing music professionally.
• Passion or experience working with children under seven.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Excellent ability to engage with parents and students.
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills and customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Maximize quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows.
• Ensure students learn fundamentals of music, not just songs.
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans.
• Communicate regularly with parents on student progress.
• Interact with parents and students in school and assist in rehearsals.
• Assist in recruiting and enrolling students.
