Job summary

Burlington Public Schools is seeking a Part-Time Early Childhood Float Teacher for the Sprouts program for 2026/2027, located in Burlington, MA. The role supports infants to preschoolers, with a mid-day schedule and a starting rate of $20 per hour.

The ideal candidate is warm, reliable, and able to collaborate with the teaching team to create a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom environment. Massachusetts EEC qualifications are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Massachusetts EEC Teacher-qualified candidates strongly preferred.
• Experience working with young children (infants to preschool).
• Warm, patient, nurturing, and dependable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide caring, attentive support to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
• Assist the classroom teacher with daily routines and classroom management.
• Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities.
• Support safety, cleanliness, and healthy learning environment.
• Collaborate with staff and families to support children's growth.
• Prepare and tidy classroom materials and transitions.
