Job summary

DREAM is seeking a Part-Time Early Childhood Center Aide to support the teaching team at one of our NYC campuses. The role focuses on assisting with classroom activities, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and helping with transitions and daily routines for young children.

You will work on-site, 2:00pm–6:00pm, five days a week, and gain hands-on experience in early childhood education within a passionate, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in school or daycare settings.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others and work in a team.
• Energetic, warm, patient demeanor suitable for supporting young learners.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching team with classroom activities and lessons.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support with setup, organization, and materials for activities.
• Supervise students during transitions, meals, and naptime per policies.
• Provide one-on-one support to students needing extra help.
• Communicate observations to teachers to support family engagement.
