Job summary

Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA) is seeking part-time Caregiver Trainee candidates to support developmentally appropriate activities for children in a safe, nurturing setting. The role emphasizes family partnership, and adherence to RCMA and DCF standards.

The position offers opportunities to progress through Level 1 and Level 2 with training in child care practices, CPR/First-Aid awareness, and FCCPC-related credentials as required. RCMA is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school completion (or equivalent) is highly recommended.
• Transcript documentation showing passing All Competency Exams for the DCF Child Care Training.
• Recommended to complete FCCPC Birth-5 years or CDA/ECPC within 260 working days of hire.
• Further training appropriate to the age of children being served may be required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to support a warm, secure, affectionate, social-emotional climate for young children. (Note: Lifting and holding a child is necessary.)
• Learn to follow daily schedules and plans that support the physical, social, and cognitive growth of young children.
• Follow rules and procedures that establish and maintain a safe and healthy classroom and outside environment.
• Learn to be an engaged partner with families.
• Commit to professionalism and RCMA.
• Meet all RCMA funding and DCF requirements.
• Level 1 and 2: Work as part of a teaching team to manage the classroom and support families.

Education

All Competency Exams for DCF Child Care Training transcript documented

FCCPC / CDA / ECPC credentials or equivalent
