Community Children's Center in Storrs, CT is seeking innovative, professional candidates to join our team and implement a high quality play-based and nature-based early childhood curriculum. You will build warm relationships with children and families, collaborate with coworkers, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Ideal candidates have 12 Early Childhood credits or a CDA, strong knowledge of child development, and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Formación

• Completion of 12 Early Childhood credits or a CDA required.
• Ability to work well with others.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to become certified.
• Must clear full background check.
• Must pass health screening.

Responsabilidades

• Provide secure, trusting, warm relationships through responsive interactions and positive discipline.
• Supervise children for safety and to support their growing awareness of their own capabilities.
• Observe and respond appropriately to the children’s needs, interests, and desires, in collaboration with teaching team.
• Model desired behaviors, including modeling good emotional expression and management.
• Be curious and open to learning through ongoing professional development.
• Follow all center policies, state regulation, and accreditation standards.
