Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in related child development fields.
• Minimum of one year of work experience with children birth to 5 years.
• Illinois Gateways to Opportunity Level 2 within one year of hire; pursuing Level 4 credential.

Responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, healthy classroom environment and model good hygiene and safety practices.
• Assist in documenting children's growth and learning for families and records.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure a nurturing, inclusive, culturally responsive classroom.
• Participate in meetings and professional development activities as required.
