Job summary

Putnam Public Schools, through the Putnam Family Resource Center, seeks a Part-Time FRC Child Care Assistant to provide hands-on care and educational support for preschoolers. This 12-month role totals 20 hours weekly, with hours scheduled between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, and ParaPro or 60 college credits. CDA is preferred; emphasize patience, confidentiality, and teamwork with families and staff.

Qualifications

• ParaPro Assessment completed or 60 college credits.
• CDA is preferred; ability to work with young children.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver age-appropriate learning activities for preschool children.
• Assist Head Teacher with classroom management and safety.
• Support children's social and emotional development through positive reinforcement.
• Provide one-on-one support to children needing extra help.
• Collaborate with staff and families to foster a supportive learning environment.
