Job summary

University of La Verne seeks a part-time Teacher’s Aide for La Verne Parent Participation Preschool (LVPPP). The role supports teachers in curriculum development and child care for ages 2–6, with hours between 8:30am–12:30pm, Monday–Friday, in La Verne. Must be a current ULV student with Federal Work Study for 2026‑2027.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour. Flexible scheduling is available within the stated hours; some weekend/evening events may arise. Reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a current University of La Verne student with Federal Work Study eligibility for the 2026-2027 academic year.
• Demonstrates strong customer service, organization, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to listen, follow directions and think critically in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children ages 2–6 in a preschool setting.
• Assist teachers with developing and facilitating developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Support documenting children’s progress and development.
• Help set up and maintain classroom and outdoor learning spaces for safety and learning.
• Contribute to organizing the school’s early childhood library.
• Participate in staff and board meetings and support special events as needed.
