Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an entry-level staff member for Hillsdale County Children's Programs in Hillsdale, MI. This part-time role requires assisting with meals, supervising children, and supporting a safe, developmentally appropriate classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Six (6) months experience with preschool children preferred; related education/experience may be considered.
• Reliable transportation for daily work.
• Must be computer literate and capable of basic reading, math, verbal and written communication.
• Strong time management, organization and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work with diverse families and communities.

Responsibilities

• Sit with children during meals and model healthy habits.
• Support a developmentally appropriate classroom environment aligned with curriculum requirements.
• Develop positive relationships with children considering their development.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to staff changes and program needs.
• Participate in team meetings and trainings as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of information encountered.
• Work with high-risk children with trauma histories or behavioral health needs.
• Supervise children calmly and track counts with the team.
• Represent the agency professionally in all settings, including social media.
• Assist with toileting and clothing changes as a team.
• Share responsibility for cleaning and organizing the classroom.
