Job summary

The Food Allergy Institute (FAI) in Long Beach, CA is seeking a part-time Merchandise & E-Commerce Specialist to own the FAI Store, transitioning brand swag into a lifestyle line.

You will balance hands-on store operations with creative direction, managing freelance designers and photographers to deliver quarterly drops, while analyzing sales data to inform assortment.

This role offers onsite work with a flexible, asynchronous schedule around launches, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience running an online store (Shopify or similar).
• Merchandising and product development experience in apparel/lifestyle goods.
• Ability to guide freelance creatives from concept to execution.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage async schedule.
• Data-driven decision making for inventory and product assortment.

Responsibilities

• Store ownership: manage day-to-day FAI Store merchandising.
• Vendor and fulfillment management with production and inventory partners.
• Manage product lifecycle and quarterly drops.
• Provide analytics and reporting on sales, top items, and inventory.
• Lead brand elevation aligned with FAI messaging.
• Coordinate a rotating bench of freelance designers, illustrators, photographers.
