Job summary

The Reading Village is seeking a passionate educator who loves working with children and is patient, compassionate, and eager to learn how to support students with language-based learning disabilities, specifically dyslexia. This is an in-person, part-time position with growth potential for someone looking to build a meaningful career in education, not just a job.

You will provide 1:1 in-person instruction, use patient, supportive teaching, and learn Structured Literacy approaches.

Qualifications

Background or interest in education, child development, psychology, speech-language pathology, or related fields.
Willingness to learn evidence-based practices for working with dyslexic learners.
Ability to work in-person in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and Boynton Beach areas.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 in-person instruction to students with language-based learning disabilities.
Use patient, supportive instruction that meets students where they are.
Learn and implement Structured Literacy approaches (training provided).
Collaborate with a supportive team of educators.
Maintain clear communication with families and staff.
Create a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel safe and capable.
