Job summary

Calaveras Crisis Center is seeking a part-time Community Outreach Educator to provide education and resources on domestic violence and sexual assault to students, families, and community members in Calaveras County. The role focuses on school collaborations, program development, and presenting information in a clear, engaging manner.

Responsibilities include documentation, maintaining educational materials, and coordinating with schools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in social services or education.
• AA degree preferred for enhanced qualifications.
• Early Childhood units preferred.
• Ability to pass criminal record clearance, Live Scan, and Child Abuse Index clearance.
• Completion of 70 hours of Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Advocacy training.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, attend evening meetings, and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Educate and provide resources on domestic violence and sexual assault to school aged children, parents, and community members.
• Develop program content and present information to schools and communities in Calaveras County.
• Maintain documentation of educational presentations and attendance; keep educational materials up to date.
